GTA 5 New Patch Download: What's New in the Latest Update?

It's not often that Rockstar Games deploys a client-side patch for Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5), but it looks like a brand new update is officially live across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Tuesday, May 17.

Gta 5 New Patch Download

Although GTA: Online players are treated to a new update every Thursday, this occurs in-game and doesn't require a physical download to be completed by the player. However, it was just a few weeks ago that GTA 5 received a new patch, filled with a long list of bug fixes and changes.

Fans shouldn't expect any new content from today's update, as it's looking like the patch is merely for further bug fixes and improvements. However, here's everything we know so far about the May 17 GTA 5 update, with full patch notes expected to follow shortly.

ORIGINAL STORY: The latest GTA 5 update brings the game to version 1.42, and has a download size of around 305MB, but this may vary depending on your platform. Today's patch is reportedly live on last-gen consoles and PC.

Although many fans are speculating that today's update is merely for bug fixes, there are some that believe the patch could include the next-gen features for PC. Last month's update saw the PS5 and Xbox Series XS game files added to the PC version of the game, but were not yet activated.

Make sure to check back in later today, as Rockstar Games often release full details and patch notes later on in the evening. We will be updating this article with the official changelog as soon as it is made available.

Rockstar Games often deploy weekly updates with a new podium vehicle, events, 2XP events, and more, but these are often released on a Thursday with no patch for players to download. In fact, the last time players were prompted to download a client-side patch was when The Contract DLC was released last year.

Although rumours of a new GTA Online DLC are circulating, it won't be arriving in today's patch. Instead, it's likely that there are a few new features and bug fixes for the Expanded & Enhanced edition of GTA V as the next-gen version was only released last month.

Retail GTA 5 Update system might as well be the WORST updater till date. Downloads 736 MB, says connection lost to server on 742 MB, verifies download integrity and goes back to 736 MB. That crap wasted 4 GB data today.

Generally, a download manager enables downloading of large files or multiples files in one session. Many web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 9, include a download manager. Stand-alone download managers also are available, including the Microsoft Download Manager.

The Microsoft Download Manager solves these potential problems. It gives you the ability to download multiple files at one time and download large files quickly and reliably. It also allows you to suspend active downloads and resume downloads that have failed.

I don't think there is a manual download option, as updates to the game are either distributed through Steam, or through the standalone Rockstar Warehouse. According to this Rockstar Support Article, if your download keeps failing you should try the following option:

A good first step to fixing patch download issues for GTAV is to use a new command line argument that was introduced with patch 1.30. This applies only to the standalone, Rockstar Warehouse version as the Steam version patches through Steam.

Grand Theft Auto V graphics mod (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle []).push();Vanilla game looks good and have many features included, but for perfectionists there are always something not good yet, so i hope to cover their needs.Versions of the mod for GTASA and GTA4 were very popular, but GTA5 not at all because people are satisfied with visuals. So for me this version is not primary and add features only when want myself. Technically, there are many things done already, just they gives more attention to details, so not impressive for the most players. I rarely play games which modify, but when was satisfied enough with result of modding, played GTA5 till the end.Modification do not have graphic preset, by default it's ugly unconfigured (unless specified in description of version), so you need to download such presets made by users, feel free to visit my forum. Also you can edit parameters to your own taste inside integrated editor (show it by pressing SHIFT and ENTER keys together, by default). You may change shaders as well, check .fx files of the mod in game root folder and in the enbseries folder.Effects are made (not complete list):Water tesselation and displacement; foam of the ocean water dynamically changed by vehicle's collision; dynamic wetness of the ocean beach dependent from water; ambient occlusion for big ranges called skylighting; screen space ambient occlusion and indirect lighting with self intersections, which is form of ssgi; improved reflections for rain puddles and wetness in general in the rain; custom post processing shaders as in other mods of mine; subsurface scattering for characters; detailed shadows for tiny objects; normal mapping shadows as my own invention to make normal maps generate self shadowing; many parameters to tweak sky properties, lighting, colors, particles, etc.v0.486v0.387

Why can't you download a PlayStation 4 game or update when there should be enough room on the hard drive? How come your PS4 won't let you download any new PS4 games or patches? When you go to download or install a new game or patch for your PS4, sometimes it might claim you don't have enough space in system storage. However, when you check for yourself, it looks like there should be plenty of room. What's that about? How come you can't install something even though you should have enough storage? Let's go through everything in this quick guide.

If you're trying to download a game, or even just an update for a game you already have installed, your PS4 might tell you there's not enough free space in system storage. It's possible your hard drive is simply too full, and you legitimately have used up all possible room. However, sometimes that isn't the case.

Sometimes, your PS4 will refuse to complete a download, even when it looks like you should have plenty of space left on your hard drive. Why is it doing this? Well, it all ties into that lengthy copying process your PS4 goes through whenever you install a game or update. Let's use an example to explain what's happening.

Say you've just bought Red Dead Redemption 2, a game that takes up a minimum of 105GB according to PlayStation Store. Let's also say you know that your hard drive happens to have 150GB of space free, meaning you should be able to install the game with no issues. You try to set it to download, only for your PS4 to tell you there's not enough space.

The problem is that, whenever your PS4 downloads a game, it's also downloading all the updates to ensure you're getting the most recent version. This can seriously inflate the game's file size beyond what's advertised on PlayStation Store pages. Downloading a game plus any patches will require more space than it might first appear. However, that's not all.

Let's say you're trying to download a patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and your PS4 says there's not enough room, even though there should be. The reason you can't download and install the update is because of the aforementioned copying procedure. When you download an update, your PS4 then makes a second copy of the game file, adds the update, installs this new version of the game, then removes the outdated version. In other words, your PS4 needs around double the storage space for a game in order to download and update it. For example, if you have 30GB free and a 2GB patch for Call of Duty: Warzone arrives, you won't be able to download it until you make some extra room -- enough to technically install Warzone twice on your hard drive. The old version will be deleted, which frees up some space again, but you need that extra space free in the first place. 2ff7e9595c
